Sinner survives tight Borges test to reach Wimbledon last 32
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner needed all three sets to put Nuno Borges away, extending his SW19 winning streak despite a shaky start.

1 Jannik Sinner needed two tie-breaks and a third-set fight to dismiss Nuno Borges 7-6(4), 7-6(2), 6-4 in the Wimbledon second round on Tuesday. Sinner’s straight-sets scoreline masked a far stiffer challenge than the numbers implied. Borges, ranked 58th, broke the top seed’s serve twice in the first set and twice more in the second, forcing two tie-breaks that Sinner only narrowly converted.
