Editorial policy
What we do
Sportopod aggregates news from sources we consider reliable. We surface, summarise, contextualise, and cluster. We rarely publish original reporting; when we do, the article carries a "From the editor" label and a real human byline.
How we choose sources
Sources are added to our registry by an editor. Each source carries an editorial weight (0–100) reflecting our judgement of its reliability and topical fit. Lower-weighted or state-controlled outlets are clearly labelled when they appear.
How we use AI
When AI assistance is used in headlines, deks, summaries, or translations, every AI-assisted item carries a provenance record (model, prompt version, timestamp, citations) and is reviewed by a human editor — typically Kostadin Stamboliev — before becoming indexable. We never use AI to invent quotes, fabricate facts, or generate original article bodies under a real person's byline.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email contact@pineido.com. We update the affected article with a visible "Corrected on {date}" note. See our full Corrections policy.
Independence
Sportopod is funded by display advertising, affiliate commissions, and sponsored placements. Editorial decisions are independent of advertisers. Sponsored content is always labelled and never indexed as editorial.
