Ai Ogura’s Assen Grand Prix victory capped a flawless rookie MotoGP season, earning team boss Davide Brivio’s declaration that the Japanese rider is one of the best he’s ever worked with. The 24-year-old former Moto2 champion dominated the Dutch TT on Sunday, securing his first MotoGP win in his debut season with Trackhouse Racing. Ogura’s Assen triumph followed teammate Raul Fernandez’s Sprint victory earlier in the weekend, marking the first 1-2 finish for the Aprilia-run squad in its maiden MotoGP campaign.
