Kyrgios swears at umpire on Wimbledon return
The Australian’s fiery outburst in doubles debut overshadows straight-sets exit as questions mount over his fitness and discipline.

Nick Kyrgios’ Wimbledon comeback ended in a straight-sets doubles defeat—and a fiery confrontation with the chair umpire. The 31-year-old Australian, ranked 899th in the world, partnered with Bublik in their first-round loss to Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic at SW19. Kyrgios and Bublik went down 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 on Centre Court, marking Kyrgios’ first match at Wimbledon since his 2022 singles final run.
