Andreeva heads to Wimbledon without grass-court win
Roland-Garros champion Mirra Andreeva enters Wimbledon on the back foot after a first-round grass-court loss at Bad Homburg.

Mirra Andreeva will step onto Wimbledon’s grass courts next week without a single grass-court victory in 2024. The Roland-Garros champion’s grass swing began and ended in the first round at Bad Homburg, where Ekaterina Alexandrova dismantled her 6-1, 6-2 in 56 minutes. Andreeva’s grass preparation included just two tournaments—Bad Homburg and Berlin—where she lost to Daria Kasatkina in the quarterfinals.
