Josh Lowe's Grand Slam Secures Win Over A's
One swing, four runs: Lowe’s blast lifts Rays past Athletics 4-1.

Josh Lowe needed just one swing to swing the game. His eighth-inning grand slam Sunday provided the decisive offense in Tampa Bay’s 4-1 win over the Athletics. Lowe went 1-for-2 with runners on base, and that single swing cleared the bases, turning a tight contest into a rout.
The blast came with the Rays trailing 1-0 in the eighth and the bases loaded. Lowe drove a 2-2 fastball over the left-field wall, capping a two-out rally that erased a deficit and put his team ahead for good. The Athletics never recovered, and the Rays’ bullpen held firm to close the door.
