Dolphins place RB Le'Veon Moss on reserve/retired list
Undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M steps away before training camp, opening a roster spot in Miami's backfield.
The Miami Dolphins placed running back Le'Veon Moss on the reserve/retired list Monday, ending the undrafted rookie's bid to make the team's roster. Moss, who signed with the Dolphins in early May after going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft, has decided to step away from football for now. Moss spent the spring participating in organized team activities and minicamp, competing for a depth role behind starter De'Von Achane.
The Texas A&M product rushed for 1,200 yards over four college seasons but faced long odds to secure a spot on Miami's 53-man roster. The move trims Miami's backfield competition as training camp approaches. The Dolphins now have five running backs under contract, including Achane, Raheem Mostert, and Jeff Wilson Jr.
