The Toronto Blue Jays activated Daulton Varsho from the injured list on Friday, bringing the outfielder back into the lineup after a wrist injury sidelined him for nearly three weeks. Varsho, Toronto’s primary left-handed outfielder and a Gold Glove-caliber defender, missed 18 games with the injury, a stretch that overlapped with a stretch of inconsistency for the Blue Jays. His activation comes as the club’s outfield rotation—already crowded with George Springer, Kevin Kiermaier, and others—faces renewed pressure to produce.
