Muchová at Wimbledon: "I don't want to put pressure on myself"
Muchová outclassed Zhang Shuai 6:3, 6:2 and celebrates her progress. She called this year the best season of her career.

Karolína Muchová confirmed her role as the favorite and in the second round of Wimbledon 2026 she handled the Chinese tennis player Zhang Shuai without any major problems. The Czech won clearly 6:3, 6:2 and confidently advanced to the third round of the London Grand Slam, where she feels physically and mentally better than ever. The performance confirms that this year is the most successful in her career so far.
For Muchová, the match on the prestigious grass courts of the All England Club developed according to her ideas from the beginning. Right from the opening exchanges, she dictated the pace of the game, forced her opponent to make mistakes and did not give her room for any return to the match. The Czech player won the first set with a score of 6:3, using key break points and holding serve.
