Falcons lock in Pitts with NFL-record TE extension after franchise tag swap
Atlanta ties up its top offensive weapon for three more years with a $54M deal that dwarfs the tight-end market and erases the tag uncertainty.
The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms with tight end Kyle Pitts on a three-year, $54 million contract extension, including $36 million fully guaranteed—the largest three-year deal ever for an NFL tight end. The extension replaces the $15 million franchise tag Pitts signed earlier, ensuring he remains a Falcon beyond 2026. Pitts, 25, delivered his best season yet in 2025, posting career highs with 88 catches for 928 yards and five touchdowns.
