A fifth place keeps Verstappen in the points, but Miami showed how thin the margin becomes when the opening phase is disappointing and the car does not have enough speed to gain ground afterwards. Strategy kept the damage within limits, speed did not. Antonelli actually benefited from a race in which flawless driving outweighed spectacle.
He didn't have to break Norris with one decisive attack; he had to keep him behind him, lap after lap. That made his victory mature. Norris did not lose a race by sinking, but because Antonelli left no gap at the front.
The implication is clear: Verstappen remains relevant in the World Cup battle, but the pressure is growing. Red Bull had to survive in Miami, while Antonelli and Norris set the tone at the front of the field.
