Montevarchi’s brutal return tests Honda HRC riders
Herlings seventh, Vialle ninth as scorching heat and rocky track punish mistakes at Italy GP’s long-absent venue.

Montevarchi delivered a punishing welcome as the MXGP of Italy roared back to the historic track for the first time since 2006. The Honda HRC PETRONAS squad absorbed the heat and the blows, with Jeffrey Herlings clawing to seventh after a rocky start and Tom Vialle securing ninth in his competitive return. Ruben Fernandez’s run ended in a crash, while Valerio Lata’s race unraveled after a first-corner tangle, leaving him 20th.
