Marie Bouzková and Karolína Plíšková advanced to the third round of Wimbledon. Bouzková defeated 19-year-old Italian Tyra Catarina Grant 7:5, 6:3. Karolína Plíšková will face defending champion Iga Świątek.
Kateřina Siniaková is also heading to the third round, where she will face Colombian María Camila Osorio Serrano. The Czechs thus have three representatives in the round of 16 of the world's most famous Grand Slam. Bouzková claimed her fourth victory over a player ranked second in the world and confirmed her form from the previous week.
