Grupo PRODI, led by businessman José Miguel Bejos, officially took control of Atlas FC on July 1, marking the definitive end of Grupo Orlegi's administration in the red-and-black institution. This change of ownership represents a radical change for Atlas, as the club passes from the hands of a sports group that managed to break a 70-year drought with the Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022 titles, to a corporation with strong ties in infrastructure development and government management. The departure of Orlegi, who also maintains interests in other teams such as the Pericos de Puebla, leaves a void in the recent memory of the fans, who must now adapt to a board whose main experience lies in civil engineering and not necessarily in professional . The arrival of PRODI suggests a more pragmatic administrative approach oriented towards asset management and financial stability.
