New US owners promise to make Exeter Chiefs 'best club in the world'
Cannae Holdings’ takeover aims to inject salary-cap muscle and elevate the women’s team, says chairman Tony Rowe.

" Cannae, led by AFC Bournemouth and Las Vegas Black Knights owner Cannae Holdings, has finalized the deal and installed Rowe as CEO alongside its own executives. Rowe framed the takeover as a financial and structural leap, citing plans to maximize salary-cap investment to strengthen the squad and accelerate growth for the women’s team. The club’s current Premiership campaign has seen Exeter finish mid-table, but Rowe argued the new ownership’s resources could redefine their competitive ceiling.
