Marlins turn ‘sad dog’ clip into a feel-good ballpark reward
Six-year-old rescue pup Jonah gets a hot-dog feast and mascot meet-up after internet-famous video showed his game-night disappointment.
The Miami Marlins have located the viral ‘sad dog’ from a fan video that captured the pup’s apparent disappointment after not receiving a hot dog at a game. The dog, a 6-year-old rescue named Jonah, will be treated to a ‘ day’ at LoanDepot Park, complete with a hot-dog feast and a meet-and-greet with the team’s mascot, Billy the Marlin. The story began when a fan’s social media clip went viral, showing Jonah looking dejected as the stadium crowd enjoyed hot dogs while he received none.
