Helicopter hunting: the Texas war on wild boars
During the World Cup, Texas practices a much more radical sport: wild boar hunting by helicopter.
While the whole world has its eyes glued to the grounds of the American World Cup, a handful of Texans are practicing a much less conventional and infinitely more brutal discipline: hunting wild boars from helicopters, armed with assault rifles. Far from football fair play, this local activity transforms the fight against an invasive species into a military air show that defies the imagination of outside observers. Wild boars, or "razorbacks," are ravaging crops and destroying ecosystems in Texas, pushing authorities and landowners to adopt extreme measures.
