Flames land Jake Middleton in blockbuster trade with Wild

The Calgary Flames have acquired defenseman Jake Middleton and three draft picks from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forwards Blake Coleman and Olli Maatta. The deal, reported by Elliotte Friedman, includes a 2027 third-round pick, a 2028 fourth-round pick, and a 2029 second-round pick heading to Calgary. Minnesota receives Coleman, a 33-year-old two-time Stanley Cup champion, and Maatta, a 30-year-old defenseman with postseason experience.
