Eikeri is ready to continue after Ruud's exit
The Norwegian tennis player delivered the goods on the grass while Casper Ruud smoked. Now she is ready for the next challenge.

Ulrikke Eikeri delivered a clinical performance on the Wimbledon grass, crushing the Croatian team of Darija Jurak Schrebiner and Antonia Ruzic in two straight sets, while Casper Ruud had to pack his bags after an early exit. The 15th seeded duo of Eikeri and American Quinn Gleason completely dominated the first round of the women's doubles. They overcame their opponents 6-0, 6-3 in a manner that demonstrated total control on the grass surface.
The first set was a pure demonstration of efficiency from the Norwegian-American team, which did not give the Croatians a single chance to get on the board. The victory marks a strong start for Eikeri in this year's Grand Slam tournament, and it stands in sharp contrast to the Norwegian men's star Ruud, who had his singles tournament come to an abrupt end early in the week. Eikeri and Gleason's precise serve and aggressive play at the net were crucial in controlling the tempo of the match.
