Parry collapses at Wimbledon against Kalinskaya
Trailing 8-4, Parry lost in the super tie-break and admitted his cruel bitterness.

Diane Parry suffered a true London nightmare when she lost in the second round of Wimbledon after squandering a comfortable lead in the super tie-break against Anna Kalinskaya. The French number 1, although solid on paper, gave in to the Russian with a severe score of 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(8). The match, which stretched over nearly three hours of rare intensity, shifted in the final sequence of the third set.
Parry largely dominated sudden death, leading 8-4, just two points from qualifying for the next round. It is precisely at this critical moment that the scenario turned into drama for the Habs, unable to manage the mental pressure of the moment in the face of a new opponent. Kalinskaya turned the tide with merciless coldness to win, leaving Parry bloodless and distraught on the pitch at the All England Club.
