Ohtani homers, welcomes second child in Father’s Day weekend surge
Two-way superstar delivers clutch home run hours after becoming a father of two, turning personal joy into a feel-good baseball moment.

Shohei Ohtani capped a Father’s Day weekend surge by crushing a go-ahead home run in the sixth inning of the Angels’ 5–3 win over the Red Sox on June 15. Hours earlier, the two-way superstar and his wife Mamiko welcomed their second child, expanding the Ohtani family to four. The home run was Ohtani’s 22nd of the season, tying his career high through 65 games, and came with two runners on base.
