Carreño seeks revenge and leads Jódar at Wimbledon
The Asturian was winning by two sets to one when the lack of light stopped the Spanish duel on court two.

Pablo Carreño Busta has revenge within reach, although nature decided to put a temporary brake on him at the All England Club. The Asturian tennis player dominated the score against Rafa Jódar in the second round of Wimbledon when the referee ordered the suspension of the match due to lack of natural light, leaving the Spanish duel up in the air. The scoreboard reflected clear control by Carreño with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 and 1-2 in his favor over his compatriot.
After a first set where he imposed his law, he lost the second set, but reacted forcefully in the third to leave the match on track. Darkness fell on court two just as the duel entered a critical phase of the fourth set, forcing the action to be stopped before the game became excessively complicated for either of the contestants. This confrontation is not just any crossroads for Carreño, who carries the stigma of his recent defeat against Jódar at Roland Garros.
