Golubic fails against Paolini in round two
Nine breaks at 6:7, 4:6 against Paolini end Golubic's Wimbledon campaign.

Viktorija Golubic was eliminated in the second round of Wimbledon and was defeated by Jasmine Paolini 6:7, 4:6. The duel on the lawn turned out to be a pure “break festival” in which the serves had little value. The players achieved a breakthrough a total of nine times before the former finalist from Italy secured victory.
Golubic, who reached the quarter-finals five years ago, was unable to take advantage of her chances in the tiebreak in the first set. The statistics showed a bitter struggle, but in the end the 32-year-old lacked consistency against the current powerhouse of international tennis. While Paolini confirmed her form on the pitch, the Swiss only realized that the second round ended too early again.
