The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football team based in the Phoenix metropolitan area of Arizona. They are a member of the National Football League (NFL) and compete in the NFC West division. The team was founded in 1898 as the Chicago Cardinals and relocated to St. Louis in 1960 before moving to Arizona in 1988. The Cardinals have won two NFL championships, in 1947 and 1957, and have appeared in the Super Bowl three times. They play their home games at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
