NFL insiders take early stock of 2026 draft
ESPN’s scout-and-exec survey gives the first league read on value, reaches and roster bets.

ESPN canvassed NFL scouts, coaches and executives for an early read on all 32 classes from the 2026 NFL Draft, giving the league’s first real temperature check one week after the picks. The point is not to crown winners in May. It is to see how rival evaluators viewed value, fit and intent once the podium smiles faded.
The exercise sizes up which teams insiders believe helped themselves, which picks raised eyebrows, and which clubs may have played a longer roster-building game. That matters because draft reaction inside the league often focuses less on instant grades and more on whether a team matched talent, need and board discipline. The timing gives the survey real value.
