Hurricanes fans flood Raleigh streets for Stanley Cup parade
A sea of black-and-red filled downtown Raleigh as the Hurricanes brought the Stanley Cup home for the first time since 2006, capping a two-decade wait with a raucous celebration.

The Carolina Hurricanes capped their 20-year drought with a raucous downtown parade that drew more than 180,000 fans to Raleigh’s streets. The procession snaked through the city’s core, with players and coaches hoisting the coveted trophy as confetti rained down on the jam-packed crowd. Jordan Staal, the team’s captain, led the festivities, while coach Rod Brind’Amour soaked in the moment alongside his staff.
