Amrabat, in check: his World Cup with Morocco can define his future at Betis
The Moroccan midfielder, on loan from Fenerbahçe, awaits minutes in the World Cup while Betis evaluates retaining him for next season.

Sofyan Amrabat, Real Betis midfielder on loan from Fenerbahçe, still has no minutes in the 2026 World Cup with Morocco after the 0-0 draw against Brazil in his debut. The Moroccan coach, Walid Regragui, has not fielded him in the first games, leaving the player in an uncomfortable position: he needs minutes to justify his continuity in the green and white team. Amrabat's contract with Betis expires in June 2026, and the club is evaluating his future after an irregular season in which he has barely had any opportunities.
