Sofyan Amrabat, Real Betis midfielder, made his debut as a starter in a World Cup and completed the 90 minutes in Morocco's 4-2 victory over Haiti, a result that certifies the African team's qualification for the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup. After being a substitute in the first two group stage matches against Croatia and Germany, the 28-year-old got his chance in a key match at the Azteca Stadium. Morocco, led by Mohamed Ouahbi, won with goals from Hakim Ziyech, Youssef En-Nesyri, Achraf Hakimi and an own goal, overcoming the resistance of Haiti, which scored through Mondy Prunier and Fafà Picault.
