Verstappen: 'F1 cars are not made for Silverstone'
The fast corners and long straights make energy management a nightmare, says the world champion.

Max Verstappen and the rest of the Formula 1 team have put their finger on the sore spot: the current generation of semi-electric racing cars is fundamentally designed for the wrong type of track. Recent sessions at Silverstone showed that the fast corners and vast straights of the British circuit create a technical dilemma that is not beneficial to the sport. Current regulations force teams to adopt rigid energy management, forcing drivers to slow down to preserve battery charge for the next sector.
