Polish MEPs attack FIFA over Russia
Letter from 44 politicians, including Poles, demands exclusion of Russian juniors from world championships.

Polish MEPs have joined a decisive action in the European Parliament, demanding that FIFA immediately withdraw its permission for Russian teams to participate in the upcoming under-15 world championships. This is a direct attack on the policy of the federation led by Gianni Infantino, which has decided to relax sanctions against Russia. An open letter, signed by 44 parliamentarians, emphasises that sport cannot remain neutral in the face of war crimes.
Among the signatories are politicians from across the political spectrum, demonstrating the scale of outrage. Poland is represented by Michał Kobosko, Bogdan Zdrojewski, Krzysztof Śmiszek, Michał Dworczyk, Łukasz Kohut, Mariusz Kamiński and Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz. They argue that allowing Russian juniors to compete, even under a neutral flag, violates the spirit of solidarity with Ukraine and attempts to normalise relations with the aggressor state.
