Papajova is gone: McLaren presented a white-green special
The Woking team returned in 1966. Fans are delighted with the radical design change for the home circuit.

McLaren has ditched the iconic papaya and for its home British Grand Prix in Silverstone, deployed a radical white and green design that takes the team back to 1966. The team from Woking decided to dazzle the home crowd with a visual return to its roots, which means a complete departure from the current visual identity. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, the two riders representing the team this year, joined the design process and helped agree to abandon the traditional orange and black combination.
This color palette has been synonymous with McLaren in Formula 1 for many years, but for this weekend it has been replaced by white and green. This special livery pays tribute to the team's history dating back to 1966, when Bruce McLaren and his team entered the race for the first time. It is a purely nostalgic move to recall the beginnings of the legend, not modern marketing experiments.
