Two goals against Sweden put Mbappé one step away from surpassing Messi and leading the World Cup history, at 25 years old.
Kylian Mbappé scored two goals in France's 3-0 victory over Sweden and became the second top scorer in World Cup history, with 18 goals in 18 games. At 25 years old, the Frenchman surpassed Miroslav Klose and is now just one goal behind Lionel Messi, who leads with 19 goals. Mbappé became the second player with the most goals in World Cups, behind only the Argentine, and reinforced his status as one of the competition's top scorers.
