Jones Dominates Machida in Rematch Victory
Former champion secures decisive win with standing guillotine choke submission

Jon "Bones" Jones put on a dominant performance Saturday night, submitting former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida with a standing guillotine choke in their highly anticipated rematch. The fight started fast, with Jones using his superior reach and footwork to control the octagon. He landed several hard strikes early before taking Machida down in the first round.
From there, Jones worked relentlessly on top, landing heavy ground-and-pound blows that visibly wore down his opponent. In the second round, Jones capitalized on an opening when Machida stood up. He quickly wrapped his arms around Machida's neck from behind and executed a flawless standing guillotine choke.
