Orioles edge Angels in tight late-inning finish
Baltimore’s bats broke a 3-3 tie in the eighth on a two-run single, while Los Angeles’ bullpen coughed up the lead after a strong start by Reid Detmers.

The Baltimore Orioles edged the Los Angeles Angels 5-4 in a back-and-forth contest at Camden Yards, with the winning run scoring on Ramón Urías’ eighth-inning two-run single off reliever Carlos Estévez. The Angels struck first on a two-out RBI single by Taylor Ward off starter Dean Kremer in the top of the first, but the Orioles answered in the bottom half on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Mountcastle off Reid Detmers, tying the game 1-1. Baltimore’s offense remained patient, working counts and avoiding early swings against Detmers’ mid-90s fastball and sharp slider.
