Elite Mexican goalkeeper Mariana Bernal faces a devastating blow with a three-year suspension for doping that voids her participation in Los Angeles 2028 and erases her recent competitive record. The sanction, imposed after testing positive for Nandrolone, is applied retroactively from December 2025, leaving the athlete without the possibility of competing in the largest multi-sport event of the next decade. The International Anti-Doping Testing Agency confirmed the measure, which automatically eliminates all results obtained by Bernal since the date of the positive test.
