Vattenöverdos: En verklig och underskattad risk
Överdrivet drickande kan vara lika farligt som uttorkning. Känn till symptomen och rekommendationerna för säker hydrering.

Water overdoses are a real, often underestimated threat, with serious health consequences. The popular belief that "more is better" does not apply to hydration, and exceeding the recommended limits can trigger serious problems. Experts recommend a daily intake of 35 ml of water per kilogram of body weight.
Exceeding this amount can cause a dangerous electrolyte imbalance, diluting sodium in the blood and affecting vital body functions. This is especially relevant for athletes or people who engage in intense physical activity, who sometimes overcompensate for fluid loss. Symptoms of a water overdose include nausea, vomiting, severe headaches, confusion, and in extreme cases, seizures or coma.
