White Sox Activate Kyle Teel From 60-Day IL
Chicago’s rebuild gets a jolt as the former first-rounder returns behind the plate after a shoulder injury sidelined him for two months.

The Chicago White Sox have activated catcher Kyle Teel from the 60-day injured list, ending a two-month absence caused by a shoulder injury. Teel, a former first-round pick acquired from the Red Sox in a blockbuster trade last summer, was placed on the IL in late May and missed 64 games. To make room, the White Sox optioned catcher Edgar Quero to Triple-A Charlotte, a clear vote of confidence in Teel’s readiness to handle the everyday catching duties.
