Sled is crowned TP52 world champion in Porto Cervo
Sled, under the direction of Takashi Okura, wins his second TP52 World Championship after Alpha+ collapsed in the last race, consolidating his lead in the 52 Super Series 2026.
Sled, Takashi Okura's TP52 yacht, took his second world title in Porto Cervo after the collapse of Alpha+ in the last race. In the decisive race, Alpha+ led much of the stage, but a mistaken maneuver in the last few meters relegated it to last place, leaving the podium open. Sled, who had maintained high positions in all previous regattas, took advantage of the opportunity and finished the series with the highest score, securing the championship.
