Shea Langeliers: Belts 19th homer
The Athletics' catcher delivered the game's biggest blow, powering Oakland past the Angels behind a dominant pitching performance.

Shea Langeliers erased any doubt about Oakland’s offensive punch with a three-run home run in the Athletics’ 5-0 shutout of the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. The blast—his 19th of the season—came off Angels starter Reid Detmers in the fourth inning and provided all the runs the A’s would need. Oakland starter JP Sears allowed just three hits over seven shutout frames, striking out five while walking none.
