São Paulo ends negotiations with Domingos Duarte
Tricolor got tired of waiting and moved on to other options after the defender's silence.

São Paulo FC cut the Gordian knot and officially ended the pursuit of defender Domingos Duarte. Tricolor decided not to accept the athlete's indecision and immediately turned the key in the transfer market, prioritizing agility over speculation. Despite there being a verbal agreement between the parties, the Morumbi board lost patience with the lack of a definitive response from the player.
At 31 years old, the defender, currently linked to Getafe, in Spain, seemed to be holding his pen in anticipation of more financially advantageous offers from other clubs. Duarte's stance deeply irritated the coaching staff and the football department, who need immediate and concrete solutions for the second half of the season. The club was not willing to serve as a plan B for an athlete who did not show urgency in closing the deal.
