Polish MEPs attack FIFA over Russia
Letter from 44 politicians, including Poles, demands exclusion of Russian juniors from world championships.

Polish MEPs joined a decisive action in the European Parliament, demanding that FIFA immediately withdraw its approval for Russian teams to participate in the upcoming U-15 World Cup. This is a direct attack on the policy of the federation led by Gianni Infantino, who has decided to ease sanctions against Russia. An open letter signed by 44 parliamentarians emphasizes that sport cannot be neutral in the face of war crimes.
Among the signatories are politicians from both sides of the political spectrum, which demonstrates the scale of outrage. Poland is represented by Michał Kobosko, Bogdan Zdrojewski, Krzysztof Śmiszek, Michał Dworczyk, Łukasz Kohut, Mariusz Kamiński, and Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz. They point out that allowing Russian juniors, even under a neutral banner, violates the spirit of solidarity with Ukraine and is an attempt to normalize relations with the aggressor state.
