McIlroy carded a 71 with a double bogey on his back nine, finishing at even par and tied for 11th place. Clark, the reigning US Open champion, extended his lead to 7-under par, four shots clear of a chasing pack that includes Matt Fitzpatrick, Xander Schauffele, and Sam Stevens.
