From construction to football: PRODI in Atlas
José Miguel Bejos and his public works firm assume command of the Atlas after Orlegi's departure.

Grupo PRODI, led by businessman José Miguel Bejos, officially took control of Atlas FC on July 1, marking the definitive end of Grupo Orlegi's administration in the red-and-black institution. The transition of power was formalized as a necessary measure to comply with Liga MX regulations that prohibit timeshare ownership of clubs within the same circuit, a situation that forced the restructuring of shareholdings. Bejos assumes command bringing with him a consolidated career in the construction sector and the execution of large-scale public works, standing out for his participation in strategic projects at the national level such as the Mayan Train.
This change of ownership represents a radical change for Atlas, as the club passes from the hands of a sports group that managed to break a 70-year drought with the Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022 titles, to a corporation with strong ties in infrastructure development and government management. The departure of Orlegi, who also maintains interests in other teams such as the Pericos de Puebla, leaves a void in the recent memory of the fans, who must now adapt to a board whose main experience lies in civil engineering and not necessarily in professional . The arrival of PRODI suggests a more pragmatic administrative approach oriented towards asset management and financial stability.
