PWHL San Jose Lands Corinne Schroeder as Historic First Signing
Veteran goaltender joins expansion franchise on two-year deal ahead of 2026-27 season.

The Professional Women's Hockey League's newest franchise has its first cornerstone: goaltender Corinne Schroeder. PWHL San Jose inked Schroeder to a two-year Standard Player Agreement that runs through the 2027-28 season, making her the first player in team history. The historic signing, announced Tuesday, immediately gives the expansion club a proven netminder with pro experience.
Schroeder arrives from the Seattle Torrent, where she spent the previous campaign. She becomes the foundational piece for a franchise set to debut in the 2026-27 season. The contract locks in a veteran goaltender who has faced high-level competition and can anchor the crease from day one.
