Foligno’s last shot: Wild reunite veteran for Cup chase
38-year-old brings playoff savvy and muscle to Minnesota’s fourth line after re-signing on a one-year deal worth $900K.

Nick Foligno has agreed to a one-year, $900,000 contract to stay with the Minnesota Wild, reuniting him with his brother Marcus and positioning the 38-year-old for a potential final Stanley Cup run. Foligno split last season between the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota, logging 24 points in 66 games while anchoring the fourth line with his physical edge and veteran poise. The Wild now retain a player with 1,100 NHL games, 250 career goals, and 11 postseason appearances, including a run to the 2012 Stanley Cup Final with Boston.
