Ljinders' message to Maresca: "A masterpiece"
Pep Ljinders welcomes Maresca to City with a poetic phrase on the blackboard: legacy and high expectations.

Enzo Maresca crossed the threshold of the City Football Academy for the first time and found an atmosphere full of meaning, but not empty. Upon his arrival, the new Manchester City manager was welcomed by a symbolic gesture from Pep Ljinders, Pep Guardiola's former right-hand man. Ljinders took the marker and wrote on the whiteboard a phrase destined to remain imprinted: "Make every day a masterpiece".
Maresca's office was bare, without furniture or furnishings, a blank picture ready to be painted. The new manager showed no signs of discomfort in the face of that physical void, instead focusing on the essence of his job. With his usual quip ready, Maresca joked about the situation, noting that the only furniture he needed was the tactics board.
