Maple Leafs Land Raddysh on Massive Eight-Year Deal
Toronto acquires elite two-way defenseman from Tampa Bay and locks him up long-term for a Cup push.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have aggressively addressed their defensive needs by acquiring Darren Raddysh from the Tampa Bay Lightning and immediately securing his services for the long haul. Toronto sent a 2026 fifth-round draft pick to Tampa Bay to facilitate the deal, bringing in a 30-year-old defenseman coming off a 70-point season in 73 games. Raddysh established himself as a premier two-way threat capable of driving play from the backend, including significant playoff contributions for the Lightning.
