The Memphis Grizzlies have sent Spanish center Santi Aldama to the in exchange for AJ Johnson and a package of draft picks that includes a first pick in 2030 and two second picks. The transfer, closed on June 12, allows the Mavericks to add Aldama, a player with averages of 15 points and 8 rebounds per game in his five seasons in Memphis, and reinforce their interior zone with the chemistry he shares with his compatriot Sergio De Larrea, who already plays in Dallas. For his part, AJ Johnson returns to Memphis with numbers of 6 points and 3 rebounds from last season, while the Grizzlies prioritize the accumulation of assets to reconfigure their roster.
