Ajax wants to stunt with a 20 million striker
Ajax is chasing 20-year-old Matviy Ponomarenko from Dynamo Kyiv. The striker could cost €20 million and is a test for Cruyff's ambition.

Ajax is doing everything it can to bring Matviy Ponomarenko to Amsterdam, a transfer that will seriously test the financial limits of the club led by Jordi Cruijff. The 20-year-old Dynamo Kyiv striker, who scored impressively last season with 13 goals in just 15 league games, is at the top of the wish list. The estimated market value is around €12 million, but Dynamo Kyiv has an asking price of up to €20 million.
This amount is a serious investment for Ajax, especially considering the competition from heavy European names such as FC Porto, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund. Cruijff wants to strengthen the attacking line after the departure of Wout Weghorst and the uncertain future of Kasper Dolberg, which means that the pressure to find a quality replacement is high. The competition is tough: FC Porto, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also lurking.
