Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to lead Portugal past Uzbekistan 2-1 in their second group-stage match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 41-year-old forward opened the scoring with a classic near-post finish from a Joao Cancelo cross in the 34th minute. He doubled the lead in the 68th minute, running onto a through ball from Bruno Fernandes before slotting past the Uzbek goalkeeper.
